SULAIMANIYAH, Kurdistan region 'Iraq', — Let’s say no to the son’s and nephew’s of Kurdish politicians entering politics. I am a citizen of the Kurdistan region, and I request a law from the Kurdish parliament that bans the relatives, especially the sons and nephews of current or former politicians of Kurdistan entering politics.
This would be a healthy piece of legislation for democracy in our region, the emirates of Kurdistan such as Soran, Baban and Botan ended a long time ago and we don’t want it to return. This practise of nepotism has ended in other countries so let’s end it in Kurdistan now. They can participate in other areas of social life to further Kurdish interests.
